Visa in Cambodia
A visa is required to enter Cambodia, but the process is simpler than in Vietnam. You can obtain a visa on arrival without needing a prior approval letter. To apply, you will need a valid passport, a passport-sized photo, and a $30 stamping fee.
There are two ways to obtain a Cambodian visa:
1. E-Visa (Online Visa Application)
Starting from September 1, 2024, paper visa applications will no longer be accepted at Cambodian airports. Travelers must apply for an e-Arrival at least 7 days before arrival.
The e-Arrival system allows visitors to complete a digital immigration form in advance, ensuring a smooth entry process. Applications can be submitted at www.arrival.gov.kh or via the Cambodia e-Arrival (CeA) app, available on the App Store and Google Play Store.
2. Visa on Arrival (VOA)
If applying online is not an option, you can still obtain a visa on arrival at any land or air border checkpoint. To apply, you will need:
-
A valid passport (must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry).
-
A passport-sized photo (4cm x 6cm).
-
A $30 visa fee (valid for 30 days).
No invitation letter or prior approval is required, and the process is straightforward at border entry points.
